Tend House is a boutique virtual Pilates studio offering live group and private sessions rooted in classical Pilates principles. Thoughtfully taught and designed for every stage of practice, Tend House is a place to move with intention, deepen your understanding of Pilates, and cultivate movement that supports everyday life.

Tend House is rooted in the belief that Pilates is more than a workout—it's a lifelong practice. Every session is grounded in classical Pilates principles, thoughtfully taught through progressive learning, and designed to deepen your understanding of movement over time.
Rather than chasing perfection, we believe lasting progress comes from practicing with intention, building a strong foundation, and returning to the fundamentals again and again.
-
No. Tend House welcomes every stage of practice, whether you're stepping onto the mat for the first time or returning with years of experience.
If you're new to Pilates, we recommend beginning with Foundations. This introductory session will introduce the principles, language, and movement patterns that shape every Tend House practice and provide a strong foundation for continued learning.
As your practice evolves, The Practice becomes your ongoing space to continue building strength, coordination, and body awareness through consistent, intentional movement. Many clients choose to return to Foundations over time as a way to reconnect with the fundamentals and deepen their understanding.
-
Both are wonderful places to begin, and the right choice depends on your goals.
Group sessions through The Practice, offer a welcoming environment to build a consistent practice alongside others. If you're new to Pilates, Foundations is the ideal place to begin before continuing into The Practice.
Private Practice Sessions provide individualized instruction tailored to your body, experience, and goals. They're a great option if you'd like one-on-one guidance, are working around an injury (with medical clearance), have access to Pilates equipment at home, or simply prefer a more personalized experience.
Many clients enjoy combining both, using Private Practice Sessions to deepen their understanding while maintaining a regular group practice.

To practice with Tend House, you'll need a mat, a stable internet connection, and enough space to move comfortably.
For the best experience, we recommend keeping a home practice kit with the props most commonly used throughout our live sessions:
* 3–4 lb dumbbells
* Pilates ball
* Magic Circle
* Resistance bands (Theraband & fabric loop)
* Yoga blocks
* Ankle weights
Not every practice will use every prop, but having them available allows you to get the most from each session.
Don't have every prop yet? You're still welcome to join. Thoughtful modifications will always be offered as you build your home practice over time.
When you're ready, you can shop the recommended Tend House Practice Kit.
-
No. Your camera is always optional.
All participants join with their microphones muted to create a calm, focused environment for practice. If you choose to keep your camera on, it allows for more personalized cueing and feedback throughout the session. If you'd rather leave it off, you're still warmly welcome to participate.
Whether your camera is on or off, our hope is that every Tend House session feels like a welcoming space to move with intention and confidence.
-
Once you've booked your session, you'll receive a confirmation email with your session details and joining link.
We recommend joining a few minutes before the scheduled start time so you have time to settle in, get comfortable, and begin your practice with intention.
-
You're welcome to join up to 10 minutes after the scheduled start time.
To support a safe, focused, and uninterrupted practice for everyone, we ask that you arrive within the first 10 minutes of the session. While we understand that unexpected situations happen, joining significantly after a session has begun can be disruptive to both your practice and the group.
If you're already participating and experience a temporary internet interruption, you're always welcome to rejoin the session using your original joining link.
-
Live sessions may be canceled up to 8 hours before the scheduled start time without penalty.
Cancellations made within 8 hours of the scheduled start time, or failure to attend, are considered late cancellations/no-shows and are not eligible for a refund.
To help ensure a fair experience for all clients, Tend House reserves the right to limit future booking privileges for accounts with repeated late cancellations or no-shows.
-
Absolutely. One of the benefits of practicing with Tend House is the flexibility to join from wherever you are.
Whether you're at home, traveling for work, or away on vacation, you're welcome to join as long as you have a stable internet connection, enough space to move comfortably, and your home practice kit nearby.
-
Tend House is built around the experience of practicing together, live.
At this time, live sessions are not available as recordings unless otherwise noted. Practicing together in real time allows for thoughtful instruction, personalized cueing when appropriate, and the shared rhythm of moving as a community.
If a session is ever recorded or offered on demand in the future, it will always be clearly communicated in advance.
-
Memberships are designed to support a consistent, sustainable practice. With monthly billing and flexible access to live group sessions, they offer the best value for clients who plan to practice regularly.
Membership details, pricing, and included benefits can be found on the booking page. You can manage your membership anytime through your Tend House account.
-
Every Private Practice Session is thoughtfully designed around your individual goals, experience, movement history, and the equipment you have available.
Whether you're practicing with only a mat or have access to a reformer each session is tailored to meet you where you are and support the way you move.
Before your first session, you'll complete a short intake form so we can learn more about your movement history, equipment, and what you'd like to accomplish together. From there, we'll build on the classical Pilates principles that shape every Tend House practice while creating a session that's uniquely your own.
-
Pilates can often be thoughtfully adapted to support different bodies and stages of life. If you're pregnant, recovering from an injury, or managing a medical condition, we recommend speaking with your healthcare provider before beginning a new movement practice.
Tend House may offer sessions designed specifically for prenatal, postnatal, or other specialized movement needs. When available, these sessions will be clearly identified on the schedule.
If you're unsure where to begin, we'd love to help. Please reach out to us at hello@tendhouse.co before booking so we can help you choose the session that's the best fit for your practice.
